ITALIAN ARTISTS' EXHIBITION IN RUSSIA

 

 

In May 2017 an international engraving workshop was held in Vercelli, curated by Maestro Roberto Gianinetti, which saw the participation of Italian and Russian artists and the participation of the director of the Kazan State Museum Olga Ulemnova, as well as Magdalena Kacperska , Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz (Poland). The exhibition "Sul Sacro - contemporary engravings from Vercelli, Kazan and Lodz" at the Confraternity of San Vittore, was inaugurated on May 26, 2017 by Mrs Maura Forte, Mayor of Vercelli who also set up, with publication of a catalog. words of praise for the curator and the artists, both Italian and foreign, who presented works of the highest level, placing Vercelli once again as a city of art and culture, in the foreground; a city - the Mayor underlined - for international meetings, researches and studies about engraving art. Among the authorities was also present Daniele De Luca, of the Cultural Heritage Office of the Archdiocese of Vercelli and the Councilor for Culture of Vercelli Daniela Mortara.

After the fruitful experience and comparison between the artists who "worked" together in a fraternal artistic climate, the invitation to Italian artists is returned with a first exhibition at the State Museum of Fine Art of Kazan, director Rozalya Nurgaleeva, inauguration August 9th 2018 and a second exhibition at the Exibition Hall Union Russian Artists in Moscow, inauguration on August 13th.

Two prestigious exhibitions, in which all  the artists who "created" splendid engravings in the days of the workshop of Vercelli participate: Irina Antonova - Aleksandr Artamonov (President Graphkom, Kazan) - Vera Karaseva - Marat Mingaleev - Sergey Repnin - Igor Ulangin - Alexandra Nicolaeva - Olga Ulemnova (Ph.D. in History of Arts, Researcher of the Museum of Fine Arts of Tatarstan,  Leading Researcher of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan) - Magdalena Kacperska (Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz - Poland), artist-guest - Albina Dealessi, Lu (AL) - Roberto Gianinetti, Vercelli (curator) - Dora Iannotti, Vercelli - Gloria Veronica Lavagnini, Como - Alessia Meglio, Vercelli - Pierangela Orecchia Vercelli - Silvio Pozzati, Vercelli - Nadia Presotto Conzano (AL) - Silvana Sabbione, Turin - Paolo Seghizzi, Vercelli - Renata Torazzo, Vercelli - Catherine Valentini, Ancona - Lucrezia Zaffarano, Milan.
